Tenure: Leasehold

This property is offered at a reduced price for people aged over 60 through Homewise’s Home for Life Plan. Through the Home for Life Plan, anyone aged over sixty can purchase a lifetime lease on this property which discounts the price from its full market value. The size of the discount you are entitled to depends on your age, personal circumstances and property criteria and could be anywhere between 8.5% and 59% from the property’s full market value. The above price is for guidance only. It is based on our average discount and would be the estimated price payable by a 69-year-old single male. As such, the price you would pay could be higher or lower than this figure.

For more information or a personalised quote, just give us a call. Alternatively, if you are under 60 or would like to purchase this property without a Home for Life Plan at its full market price of £285,000, please contact Cubitt & West.

Retirement bungalows such as this are much sought after, especially within the bespoke retirement village situated on the fringes of Cranleigh which is recognised as the largest village in England and certainly has more shops and amenities than many small towns.

The bungalow itself has well proportioned rooms and is nicely situated overlooking the well-tended communal grounds. You can relax in the conservatory and watch the seasons change, enjoying the wide variety of birds and wildlife which have made this their home. The current owner has had the bathroom refurbished with a nice modern suite and has also created an attractive patio to be enjoyed on warm summer days.

The grounds are very well maintained with pretty flower borders, trees, manicured lawns and even small allotments for those with green fingers! There is a wide range of facilities on-site so there is always something to occupy your day. If you want to pop into the village for a spot of shopping or a cuppa with friends, there is a bus between Guildford and Cranleigh which stops at Elmbridge Village en route. There are many extra services provided for the residents including a laundry facility, medical assistance, restaurant and even a communal hall which stages concerts and other entertainments.

So if you are wanting to retain your independence yet have assistance on hand, look no further.

What the Owner says:

Sitting in my lovely conservatory is a real pleasure. I can watch the world go by and enjoy looking at all the wildlife around - I've even given names to some of the more regular visitors to the grounds!

The whole area is very peaceful, yet I can be in the bustling heart of Cranleigh doing my shopping or going to the market within a few minutes - it could hardly be more convenient.

It's reassuring to know that help is available if I need it and that I can chat with friends in our various activity groups on offer or in the restaurant if I don't feel like cooking. There really is so much here that makes my life easier.
