LOCATION

Kirkcaldy is a seaside Town known for its diverse range of shopping and cultural facilities. It is home to a Museum, an Art Gallery as well as the renowned Adam Smith Theatre. Following a review by NHS Fife, the remaining grounds and buildings at Forth Park Hospital were declared surplus in 2012.
Forth park Hospital site is located to the North West of Kirkcaldy town centre and is bound by residential property on all sides. The property is vacant however the existing buildings still remain including the B Listed mansion House building and separate B Listed Stable Block.

The site was previously marketed with the benefit of Planning permission in principle subject to a Section 75 agreement for 69 units. The planning reference for this application is 10/02309/PPP. This permission has now lapsed.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING

The site has potential for a number of uses including residential and the majority of the site is currently identified as white land within the Mid Fife Area Local Plan. Forth Park Hospital is situated within the town boundary of Kirkcaldy under the control of Fife Council.

EMA Architects have been consulted with regards to a potential massing plan for the site in its entirety and a copy of this is available to parties that register their interest.
