In recent years the town has taken on a far more modern and contemporary feel thanks to a huge and on-going programme of investment that has seen new and interesting shops and restaurants open up along Commercial Way and in the Peacocks Centre. Woking has what is widely regarded as one of the very best commuting stations in the South East both in terms of its frequency and its speed and also has a very efficient coach service to Heathrow. There are many good local schools close to the house as well as a number of golf courses along with open spaces that make for excellent walking and cycling.
