Snypes Cottage is a charming C Listed country house which dates back to 1695 and is thought to be the oldest property in the area. Built of stone under a Ballahulish slate roof the property is typically Scottish in appearance with its astragalled windows and crow stepped gables.

DIRECTIONS
Travelling from Glasgow on the M77 exit at junction 5 signposted Eaglesham & Newton Mearns. Turn right onto the A77 then first left onto Pilmuir Road. Follow this road to the T-junction at the end, turning left onto the B769, Dodside Road. Take the first road to the right onto Craigton Road and follow this road towards Neilston passing Middleton Farm and Muirhead Farm. Just past Muirhead Farm is a sign on the left (attached to a tree) marked Snypes Dam. Turn left at this sign onto the single track road (Snypes Road) and follow the road over the cattle grids for approximately 1 mile. Snypes Cottage is at the end of this road.
