Full description

A Ground Floor Warner Flat with an Original Feel.
This two bedroom Warner Estates purpose built Victorian flat offers excellent size living accommodation. The property features two double bedrooms, a very large bathroom, original features, and a lounge overlooking a shared but dividable rear garden. St James Street Station, St James Park, and The High Street are within walking distance.

In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary - The whine and creek of a passing bus, air thick with the sound of church bells, a green flash of colour in the sky as Parakeets fly over head. A tangle of quiet residential streets, allotments and green spaces, all presided over by a 200 year old lighthouse. Doesnt sound like Walthamstow does it? but it is, this is Markhouse Road. Whilst Markhouse its self is a main road, the streets that lead off it are anything but.
Properties here are a mix of Warner flats, terraced houses, and even some former farmers cottages. Check out the Pump House Museum, its free and has working steam engines. It also hosts occasional pop up restaurants in an old Victoria line tube carriage. Jimmys cafe serves a mean fry up and really good Thai food. St James Street and St James park are just around the corner, and the marsh, Central Walthamstow and Walthamstow Village are all within walking distance. As for the lighthouse, Its actually a church topped with a lantern instead of bells. If you ever get chance to climb up the tower, do it. You have to navigate ancient, rickety wooden ladders, but the view from top is fantastic.

It's A Walthamstow Thing... - The Markhouse area has so much open space sometimes its hard to believe you are living in London. It has great spaces, excellent schools, good transport links (you can walk to St James Street Station in 5 minutes) and plentiful cafes, shops and pubs.

...As If That Wasnt Enough... - If you can lay your hands on a copy, the unique E-List magazine profiles local heroes, artists, history, local businesses, and thats before you have highlighted sections of the five pages of local events that you simply must do. (We always have a few spares in the office for those in need, so pop in any time to grab a copy.)
