From Penrith, head out of town to M6 to the north, and exit at next junction (41), signposted Wigton B5305.  Follow the B5305 toward Wigton for 5 miles, then take turning to left signposted to Caldbeck. Travel another mile, taking second road to left signposted to Hatcliffe Bridge.  Follow road around some bends and past a farmhouse, and take road to left again, signposted to Mungrisedale.  About ½ mile on, take second lane on left (tarmac) and follow to the end, down past small barns and house and over small bridge.  At end of lane is Hole House.
