Vendor Interview - Foxstones is a spacious family home in pretty Shenington village. It is where you can enjoy a peaceful rural lifestyle, with the amenities of both Banbury and Stratford upon Avon, only a short drive away.

The present owner had very definite requirements, when searching for a new home, seventeen years ago. It had to be the right combination of a family size house, in a safe village environment, where the children could go to the local primary school. Foxstones and Shenington ticked all the boxes.

The community minded village has a number of clubs and societies to suit all ages, centred round the village hall. There is a good local primary school and a doctors surgery: whilst the village pub stands alongside the village green. The gentle, rolling countryside around the village is excellent walking country, and Upton House, a National Trust property is nearby.

The market town of Banbury is only approximately six miles from the village. It has independent shops and national chains. There are a number of secondary schools in the town and several sports clubs. There is a good rail service into London and the M40 provides links to Birmingham and London.

It is an easy drive from Shenington to vibrant and historic Stratford upon Avon, with its world class theatre, plus a wide range of retail and leisure facilities.

Foxstones has an easy flow of ground floor rooms, perfect for relaxation and entertaining. The family take great pleasure in the conservatory, which is flooded with natural light and has the garden as a charming background. It is where they spend downtime and have informal meals: but the greatest pleasure is to throw open the doors and invite the summer garden into the house.

Together the sitting room and conservatory combine as one large sociable space, particularly useful at Christmas when the house is full of people. For such occasions, the dining room is either where everyone gathers round the table or a long buffet is set up. Foxstones is at its best when full of people.

The daily hub of the house is the well equipped kitchen, another gregarious centre, where you will be sure to find a few people gathered round the table for morning coffee and conversation.

The garden continues the hospitable nature of the house, and has been the scene of many barbecues and childrens parties.
