Other work to the house has seen the couple carefully maintain and redecorate their home.
“Our own style in furniture and furnishings is eclectic but we have kept the décor very neutral: this does give the apartment a very calming ambience.”
The setting of the property and the space it offers has made it an inviting place for friends and family to visit.
“We have had a few parties here,” she admits. “It is fun to have guests before and after the racing at Ascot.”

PARKS AND GARDENS
There have been so many other attractions to living in this part of the world, she points out.
“I work in Windsor and have really enjoyed having such a wonderful journey in every day: I go through the Great Park, starting out at about 6.40am, when it is just so peaceful and very, very beautiful. In fact, there are so many lovely places to walk in this area. Victoria Field is another fantastic place to go but there are lots of other parks and gardens.”
She adds: “It is also nice to sit just outside in the communal gardens at home, however. There is always somewhere sunny there throughout the whole day.”

CENTRAL LOCATION
Ascot itself has much to offer with its shops, restaurants and coffee shops. There are other attractive villages in the area too, as well as larger centres offering excellent shopping areas.
“And, of course, it is so easy to get into London too from here – you can travel in by train or road. We are within easy reach of the motorways for travelling to other parts of the country too,” she says.
She continues: “I think it is very hard to find places like this in Ascot, apartments that are in such private and quiet locations, and yet give you good access to everything too. We are only moving because we are relocating for reasons of work – this has been an outstanding place to live.”
