The south facing walled gardens are lovely and offer enormous potential. There is also an outdoor heated swimming pool.

Well-regarded schools in the area include Pinewood, Brockhurst & Marlston House, Cheam, Marlborough College and Downe House.

From J14 of the M4 head north on the A338 signposted to Wantage. Turn left after about 500 yards onto the B4000 and continue on that road for about 4 miles turning right for Lambourn, just after the Hare pub/restaurant. As you come down the hill into the village, turn left into Crowle Road. At the end turn right, then at the T junction turn left. Continue along that road and take the right hand turn into Malt Shovel Lane signposted to The Malt Shovel pub. Turn right at the pub and the entrance for Saxon House will be found after a short distance on the left.
