From Salisbury proceed in a westerly direction and the roundabout to the north of Wilton, take the first exit towards the Town Centre. At the traffic lights continue straight across following the Shaftesbury Road and at Barford St Martin turn right at the sharp left hand bend onto the B3089 signposted to Mere and Hindon. Proceed through the villages of Dinton, Teffont and Chilmark and on reaching Fonthill Bishop turn left at the green and continue under the arch through the park to the crossroads opposite the Beckford Arms. Turn right and follow the lane through Fonthill Gifford passing the church on the left and after approximately half a mile at the sharp left hand bend, turn left by the telephone box into Stop Street.
