Pictures just won’t do a property like this justice so you will have to come and take a look to see the real beauty on offer!

Starting with the location which is one of the best you are likely to see. Rotherfield is a wonderful village but the cottage is actually situated on the outskirts, so rural living is top of the agenda! Being surrounded by the picturesque Sussex countryside is not always something you get these days! The village centre is a short trip away past the golf club with everything needed for day to day life. If you want to do a weekly shop, Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells are just that bit further.

As you go up the shared driveway to the property, you will start to feel how amazing this house is. The character is on show right from the start and it keeps getting better and better as you go from room to room. The lounge/dining room is a real highlight of the downstairs space, having a dining area along with a great place to relax in front of the wood burner! Perfect for those colder winter days! The conservatory might be where you choose to relax on the warmer days of the year, enjoying a good book or simply admiring the garden!

The garden is a lovely corner plot and a good size, backing onto the fields with three distinct areas including a patio making it a lovely place to sit. Top this off with two garden sheds and a gazebo; anyone with green fingers will certainly be impressed !

What the Owner says:

Ten years ago I fell in love with this house at the first viewing. Combining, as it does, bags of character and a beautiful rural setting within a short drive of the mainline station only an hour from central London.

Over the years I have completely renovated the interior, always keeping within the character of the cottage itself. The large kitchen/diner overlooking the garden is my favourite room.

There are two really good sized bedrooms but there is planning permission for a third if needed. I will really miss living here but I’m sure the next owner will be very happy in the future!
