The Calwich Abbey Estate includes the site of the 12th Century Augustinian Abbey that originated as a cell of the Kenilworth Priory and it is clear from historical notes that this was neither a wealthy, nor substantial Abbey due partly to the proximity of the Abbeys at Rocester and Croxden.
