This truly stunning Grade II listed watermill is set within a secluded picturesque setting amongst approximately an acre of its own water gardens. There has been a mill on this site since 1066, but the current watermill was rebuilt in the 18th century and beautifully converted in 1970 to residential property. Sir Michael and Lady Berridge, feel privileged to have been owners and custodians of this beautiful watermill over a number of years. Said Michael, I immediately fell in love with it. In particular, I was fascinated by the mill pond and the surrounding banks. The former owners had not done much gardening, but that did not detract from the beauty and serenity of the garden and the spectacular trees, some of which are impressively large oaks. At the beginning, we were unclear about what plantings to make so we employed a professional landscape gardener, who designed the current garden, which has turned out to be harmonious and quite beautiful.
