We ended up buying this house purely by chance. We were visiting friends in Gravesend and saw that this house was for sale and fell in love with it straight away. Although it needed a lot of updating we loved the character and original features.
Over the last ten years we have brought it up to date but have been very careful to restore and add to its features rather than replace. We have also landscaped the garden so that it is an ideal please to relax in during the summer months.
We have since found out that it was built around 1840 and was part of the fabric of Gravesend and it Maritime history. It is in a great location as it is situated between Windmill Hill with its “villagey” feel and the town centre, with its vast choice of shops, bars, restaurants is nearby.
