This property will offer you and your family so much more than many other properties for sale in the Gravesend area!

From the front you will notice that it is set up and away from the road and accessed by some stone steps that give a hint of the character and history that lies behind the front door. Step inside and on the ground floor you will notice two rooms, one being a cosy lounge which would be ideal for quiet nights in, settled in front of a roaring fire on a chilly winters night. The other being a sitting room but could easily be used as a study, again with a stunning open marble fireplace so that you can relax with a good book or catch up on any work that you need to, or even a bedroom. Also on this floor is a utility room which will be ideal for hanging out the washing in the winter months and there’s even a Butler sink to help keep the laundry under control.

On the lower ground floor there is an open plan kitchen and dining areas ideal for entertaining. The fitted kitchen is a real “chef’s delight” and the wood burner would make a cosy setting for your guests to sit and chat into the “small hours”. There is even access to a small front patio for you to enjoy an al-fresco morning coffee and there is also a wine cellar to keep your finest vintages at the right temperature.

Upstairs all of the bedrooms are huge and just as impressive as to what you have seen so far and, as well as a “show stopper” bathroom there is also a shower room to ease the morning rush.

What the Owner says:

We ended up buying this house purely by chance. We were visiting friends in Gravesend and saw that this house was for sale and fell in love with it straight away. Although it needed a lot of updating we loved the character and original features.
Over the last ten years we have brought it up to date but have been very careful to restore and add to its features rather than replace. We have also landscaped the garden so that it is an ideal please to relax in during the summer months.
We have since found out that it was built around 1840 and was part of the fabric of Gravesend and it Maritime history. It is in a great location as it is situated between Windmill Hill with its “villagey” feel and the town centre, with its vast choice of shops, bars, restaurants is nearby.
