Full description

Tenure: Freehold

This delightful former Cider Press was converted about 30 years ago to a high standard and has been the home of our clients for almost 20 years. They have made numerous improvements to the property which offers well-proportioned three bedroom accommodation. The sellers have also extended the property adding a splendid dining room at the rear.

Internally, rooms include a kitchen/breakfast room which is dual aspect with a modern fitted kitchen well equipped with a range of matching wall and base units and roll top worksurfaces, as well as an integrated electric cooker with extractor above. The room which has laminated flooring has access through to the inner hall which has the stairs ascending to the first floor. The dining room is dual aspect, light and airy and provides access to the garden. The large dual aspect lounge has a long built-in window seat with fire surround with an open fire (currently not used).

On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a bathroom accessed off the feature landing. The spacious master bedroom is again dual aspect with an extensive range of built-in wardrobes and cupboard with attractive wooden door. Bedrooms two and three are also large enough to accommodate a double bed and share use of the spacious family bathroom/WC which has a matching three piece coloured suite and separate shower cubicle with electric shower. The first floor benefits from both traditional and Velux opening windows with the whole of the ground floor is UPVC double glazed.

Almost twelve months ago our clients had a new central heating boiler installed which is fuelled from natural gas. There are many feature part glazed internal doors retaining its original barn like feel.

The property is accessed via a six bar vehicular gate which leads into the tarmac driveway where there is a large gravelled parking/turning area. There is a substantial outbuilding with open fronted garage with high roof which could accommodate a car, motorhome or caravan. A door opens into the large workshop which has a concrete floor, high apex corrugated roof and like the garage has power and light. The rear gardens are well manicured and a real credit to the current owners. They consist of an immediate gravelled seating area perfect for capturing the afternoon and evening sunshine. The main area of garden is slightly elevated and predominantly laid to lawn, again with a mixture of a whole host of colourful shrubs, bushes and perennials. There are also large conifers, young specimen trees and a host of Camellias, Roses, Magnolias and Acers. Moving through an attractive trellis there is an orchard with five apple trees, both cookers and eaters. A summerhouse, water feature and patio will be found. The gardens back onto open farmland. A large wooden potting shed, along with an enclosed productive area of garden with further beds are currently harvesting a range of vegetables. There is a garden shed and an enclosed garden waste area.
