Having moved here 5 years ago from the mainland, we have loved every minute of the time we have spent here. It began as a cosy cottage that needed modernising, so we put our mark on it by extending and bringing it up to date, and now we have made it "the house of our dreams".

We never tire of the views from our upstairs living area, and it provides a ringside seat for island events, such as the "round the island race" and the Red Arrows display at the end of "Cowes week". We also have lovely views of the various cruise ships which arrive and depart from Southampton; also the lovely old paddle steamer which appears each year in September for its south coast excursion programme, to name but a few.

We will definitely miss the house very much, but we are now ready to move on to our next waterside project.
