Description

SITUATION

Hillmarton Manor is a quintessential former hunting lodge. Handsome and very well appointed, the fine late Georgian architecture is augmented by a particularly elegant early 20th century addition, giving the look and feel of a much larger country house.
The current owners have created a beautifully appointed and most comfortable family home. The house was fully restored to the highest standard in 2013 and is presented in a superb condition throughout.
From the bell tower to the walled garden there are a host of wonderful features to enjoy.
Sporting activities in the area include rugby at Bath Rugby Club, hunting with the Avon Vale and golf at Monkton Park Golf Club. A wide range of schools are available in the area including St Mary's and St Margarets's Calne, Malborough College, Dauntsey's at Margaret Lavington and Pinewood Prep School.

HISTORY AND DESCRIPTION
Hilmarton Manor was originally built for the Poynder family as part of the Hilmarton Estate, the manor itself dates back to the the mid 18th Century and was used as a hunting lodge by the family.
