There is also a wooden pedestrian gate through a lavender and rosemary garden with footpath leading to the front door. The private and mature rear garden offers large decking with up-lighting and glass balustrade which can be accessed from the garden room and is an ideal spot for outdoor dining and entertaining. Four steps lead up to a large expanse of level lawn with borders and rock garden, enclosed by hedging and stone wall. The slightly elevated rear garden allows you to enjoy the southerly views from and makes for a very sunny garden. Historical Note
The Lodge dates back to the late 1800s and was originally built as the office for the Ashton Court Estate. Many of its architectural features echo the main Ashton Court Mansion. It stood as one of the gatehouses onto the estate and is thought to have been used for administrative purposes and the storage of estate plans and papers. Sold off as a private dwelling around 1950, the official estate office sign remains carved onto the outer wall to this day. In 2007, the property was purchased by the current owners and in 2008 they undertook extensive renovation and refurbishment and created it into the fantastic and unique family home that it is today.
