SITUATION:
Summerbrook is very well situated on the edge of Codford, a popular village set in the heart of the picturesque Wylye valley. It has a particularly good range of local services including a village stores and post office, a doctor's surgery, a vet, a very popular village school and unusually, a village theatre (The Woolhouse). More extensive services and amenities are nearby in Warminster and Salisbury, where there is an excellent central shopping area around the market square as well as the Playhouse theatre, a cinema and arts centre. A good bus service runs along the valley between Salisbury and Warminster, and the popular destination of Bath is also within easy driving distance. The area is renowned for its shooting and fishing (on the Wylye), there is racing nearby at Salisbury and Wincanton, motor racing at Thruxton and the coast is a little over an hours drive to the south.

Codford is also very well placed for those who travel or commute to work outside the area on a regular basis. The A303/M3 is only 5 minutes away bringing London and the business centres along the A303,M3 and M25 corridors within easy reach. There are fast regular trains to London Waterloo from Salisbury and Paddington from Westbury, and Heathrow, Bristol and Southampton airports are all within reasonable driving distance. The area is also very popular because of the excellent selection of schools at all levels and as well as retaining its Boys and Girls Grammar Schools and Private schools nearby include Warminster, Dauntseys and St Marys Shaftesbury as well as the Salisbury Schools including Godolphin, Chafyn Grove and The Cathedral School.
