Known as Halhegan, Halnegan and Heallingan in the 9th century and Hallawe, Hallaye or Hallag in the 13th century. The earliest record of the Manor of Hallow is AD 816 when Hallow belonged to Worcester Cathedral.

Now a lovely Worcestershire village on the outskirts of Worcester city, with a historic village green, a primary school, village shops and post office. The Crown, a village Inn, offers an extensive menu of carefully selected food and an array of ales.

The village is situated on the A433, the road that links Holt and Worcester and is a civil parish beside the River Severn. Saint Philip and Saint James church was built circa 1867/1876 with the 150 foot bell tower added in 1879.

The village has been ever popular with the ease of commute into Worcester town centre and further a field. It also has the benefit of falling into the catchment of Chantry High School which has fantastic Ofsted results and despite this has always continues to feel a quaint rural Worcestershire village.

The village has everything that you would expect with a primary school, village inn with highly regarded restaurant and ales, village store, Post Office with general store, tennis club, historic church and Village Green. These create an ideal area to relax in an evening or bring up a family.
