Built To Last

During the First World War the Royal Arsenal experienced 29 Zeppelin raids and throughout the Second World War endured 25 aircraft and V2 bombing raids such was its importance in the war effort.

After the Second World War and rearmament period of the early 1950's, the Royal Arsenal sadly fell into decline. It closed in 1967 and was eventually sold in the 1990s, ending 300 years of continuous use as a strategic defence facility.

Since the begining of this new century Royal Arsenal has been enjoying it's latest phase of life as a wonderful urban riverside community, set within 76 acres with enviable commuter links to Canary Wharf and beyond.

The community feel is growing with onsite facilities to match, such as 24 hour concierge and residents gym, new medical centre with pharmacy, Dentist, The Cornerstone Cafe, Tesco Express, the 'Bistro Pub' The Dial Arch, newly opened 'Guard House Pub' Creche and of course the arrival of Crossrail in 2018.

The Property

Don't miss this one! A good sized one bedroom on 1st floor flat with a balcony looking into the communal garden area.

Internally the flat is pretty much 'as new' with the hallway having hard wearing 'Karndean' flooring fitted which runs through to the living/dining/kitchen area.

The living room has a 'feature' brick exposed wall with inset doors giving direct access to the Balcony. From the balcony you can enjoy the outlook into the communal gardens pretty much at tree top level.

To the rear of the living room is the modern kitchen with white high gloss 'handle-less' units, complimented by the white worktop above. The built in appliances include a ceramic hob, extractor, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

The double bedroom has built in wardrobes and space for freestanding drawers, with a window looking onto the court yard.

Back off the hall is the bathroom which has a luxury 'high end' feel to it with white sanitary ware complimented with chrome taps and a chrome heated towel rail. There is a built in recessed vanity cupboard with a double mirrored front and shelved unit to one side. The floor is tiled as is the bath surround.

The property is an ideal 1st time purchase or investment flat.
