There is approximately 1 acre of land, including the garden surrounding the property and approximately half of this is for sale as the building plot. As you look from the main road the building plot runs to the left side and includes all the land from the roadside all the way to the back of the perimeter. The driveway will be shared in part and accessed from Fernleigh Drive and will run from the right hand side and sweep around the back of the existing property and barn. Outline planning permission was applied for in 2015 but declined due to issues with the width of the access. New plans were drafted to widen the entrance way and these were submitted by appeal. The appeal was allowed with provision that the entrance way is completed to the plan submitted. These are available at Workington Grisdale's office and the appeal decision can be seen on Allerdale's website reference 2/2015/0337. The appeal letter with recommendations is located at the bottom of the screen as it is the most recently submitted. The garden which will be at the front of the new bungalow are well established, mainly laid to lawn with mature shrub borders and trees.
Directions - From Calva Brow roundabout in Workington, exit for Seaton. Follow through Seaton on the Main Road. Turn right turn onto Fernleigh Drive. The property is on the left hand side, identified by a Grisdales For Sale board.
