Accommodation - Emilia is entered from the port side into the Wheelhouse, this is split level. The upper part being 10ft x 9ft with seating, under seating storage, multi fuel stove and double doors to the aft deck. The lower part has doors to port and starboard and is 10ft x 8ft with a further 3ft of Chart Table with storage under and stairs leading down to the companionway, where you find plenty of storage on the starboard side.

The main cabin is entered through double doors which were the original doors from the wheelhouse when she was a working vessel. They have a brass plaque with the legend 'cert for crew' plus two bevelled glass oval windows. The cabin has space for a walk around double bed with 26ft of wardrobe space to either side, two fixed and two opening portholes plus a hatch. A small foc'sle cabin leads off the main cabin and is 9ft x 6ft but with restricted head height and a built in single bed. There is a large escape hatch, shelving and a cupboard.

Maintenance - Emilia was taken to the dry dock in May 2016 and had an out of water hull survey. All recommended welding and plating was carried out, 10 anodes fitted and the hull blacked.
Equipment - The engine room houses the oil storage tank, water tanks and kabola central heating boiler which supplies heating via Spirotech radiators which go around the edges of the barge and are concealed by covers plus a hot water tank. The barge is connected to shore power via a 16v blue cable and water tanks are filled by a dedicated hose. The oil tank is filled on the starboard side and oil is delivered by a local supplier. There are various 12v lights throughout so if a power cut occurs you are not plunged into darkness.
Location - Tollesbury is a charming working village with multiple amenities and strong sense of community. It is a popular weekend destination, with Marina, Cruising and Sailing Clubs and was voted No. 10 in The Times coastal walks for 2015. The wick is a very well known managed retreat and is a SSSI forming part of the Blackwater Estuary National Nature Reserve and is a joy for bird watchers.
