"The house was originally built by one of our grandfathers in 1959 as a holiday home so this is the first time it has ever come on the market. Apart from wanting to be beside the sea he chose the position because he was an avid golfer and, at the time, he included a gate straight onto the golf course! He also liked the fact that being at the end of a small private road there is no passing traffic so it is extremely safe, quiet and peaceful and, with three young children, we find that aspect equally important.
Over the more recent years the house became somewhat neglected so when we decided to move from London about six years ago and live here permanently we took on the task of renovating the place from top to bottom and we are very proud of our achievements. However a new direction means we need to move so we hope that another family will be able to enjoy the fruits of our labours and the facilities that are available nearby. You can get to the Blue flag Botany Bay beach very easily, while if you are looking for a very quiet sunbathe or swim nearby Kingsgate Bay is ideal while surfing enthusiasts can go to Joss Bay. You can enjoy an evening out at the nearby Botany Bay hotel or stroll around the golf course to the Captain Digby for a family lunch party. There is a useful convenience store within walking distance and the town centre is only a five minute drive.
We will still live in Broadstairs as we love the area."
