The Vendor's View - We were first attracted to the propertys location; set back from the road and nestled amongst the trees within the Kent Downs. It was instantly clear it had huge development potential with the already well-proportioned rooms to reconfigure & large plot to build a fantastic extension. We aimed to create a modern, spacious four-bedroom home with modern lighting, tiling, solid wood flooring, up-to-date heating/water systems and electrics.
Without doubt our favourite feature is the Wow space; the large double aspect vaulted extension with bi-fold doors that open onto a dual-aspect raised patio. Its airy, light feel gives you a wonderful sense of space, with the beautiful views of the garden and woodlands through the bi folding doors. The space is equally amazing at night with all the modern lighting we've installed. It's lovely to sit and watch the stars through the solar powered veluxes & also the bi-fold doors with no light pollution spoiling the view.
The house is well positioned for easy access to all amenities, including primary and secondary schools, shopping and leisure opportunities in nearby Canterbury and a short distance to the many beautiful beaches along the coast. Selsted Cricket Club is directly opposite the property, while the historic Broome Park Golf & Country Club is just 2 1/2 miles away. There is a bridleway running down one side of the property making it ideal for dog walkers, horse riders, ramblers, photographers, artists etc.
The location is perfect for those working in the surrounding area or even further afield in London via the high-speed HS1 train service which takes you from Folkestone to St Pancras in 48 mins. There are also great links to Europe via the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone or the ferries at Dover docks.
This project has been an absolute labour of love. We hope someone falls in love with the property as much as we have during our time here. The thought of coming back here after a stressful day at work and sitting on the raised patio with a glass of wine, the days stresses soon fade away.
