Our Time Here - We both really loved that the house was one of the original 1920s houses from when the area was first developed. It has a lovely wide staircase, a big fireplace in the entrance hall and all the rooms are a good size for family living. It's a very calm and peaceful location, as well as very accessible.
The house benefits from windows on all four sides, with many of the rooms having a dual aspect. This makes it a lovely bright house, and you are able to follow the sun as it moves throughout the day. The way the light flows through the building is quite magical and something you don't realise until you move here; the light spacious feel is something we absolutely love about the property. We completely renovated the house including a Smallbone of Broadstairs kitchen and new Parquet flooring to the ground floor, which befits a house of this age and character.
For us, the best thing about the location is the proximity to the beach, where we love to walk our dog (and you can do that all year round on this particular beach). Our neighbours are incredibly friendly and it's a very accessible place to live, while also quiet. It's great to have such easy access to the local woodlands or the beach, yet still be within easy reach of Margate and Broadstairs, as well as the excellent travel links. I travel to London once a week and I find the commute very easy. There is a good parade of shops locally too, which is really handy.
Were going to miss living in this area, and the spacious light feel that this house provides. It's an incredibly easy house to live in, with a really good flow from room to room, making the house a great place to socialise as well as relax as a couple.
