Since moving in we've renovated the bathroom and re-modelled the downstairs layout to be open plan. The garden has a new large Rainbow Indian Sandstone patio area, with a selection of fruit trees (Apple, Plum and Cherry).
Adding the Solar panels has provided an average annual income of £1,900 which comfortably covers the council tax and the very low fuel bills of the property.
The 3.57 Kw of panels are privately owned and not on a rental agreement, hence the income would go to the new home owner. These were installed in 2011 locking in the peak Feed In Tariff (FIT) income of 43.3p (Generation) + 3.1p (Export) per KwH, which is valid until the year 2036.
Currently, a new install (on any other residence) would be on the latest FIT deal which is a much lower rate of only 3.76p (Generation) + 4.91 (Export) per KwH, or £355 per year for an install of the same size. Only 18.5% of the current income.
