History

The Raby Mere Pond measures a quarter of a mile long and was built over 300 years ago to drive the water mill for grinding corn. The water mill has not been used for many years, but the ruin still lies within the grounds of Mill House. Above it stands our property "Mill House" which we believe was built in 1661. Today, Raby Mere is one of the beauty spots in Wirral.
