Location: Rose Cottage is located in the small rural hamlet of Regoul, just a couple of miles from the conservation
village of Cawdor and about 3.5 miles from the Seaside town of Nairn

At Cawdor, as well as the famous Cawdor castle, there is a local store and new primary school, served by
school buses that pick up from the door for residents of Regoul. There is also a bowling club, church, the
excellent Cawdor Tavern with restaurant and a community centre.

Regoul is quietly situated within a short distance of Nairn town centre; approximately 3.5 miles. Known for
its dry and sunny climate, Nairn is a vibrant Victorian town and a popular holiday destination with miles of
golden beaches. It has a good range of shops and professional services as well as a museum and excellent
pubs and restaurants; the Bandstand bar plays host to biannual real ale festivals every April and September.
The town also has a sports centre, swimming pool, arts centre, theatres, riding centre and cricket pitch. The
harbour is home to a small fishing fleet, marina and sailing club. There are two championship golf courses in
Nairn as well as a number of outstand golf courses in the area such as Castle Stuart, Royal Dornoch and Spey
Valley. There is salmon fishing on the Rivers Nairn, Findhorn and Spey. Even closer to Regoul (3/4 of a mile)
is the Geddes trout Fishery. The Cairngorms National Park and the Lecht are all within easy driving distance;
Grantown on Spey is half an hour’s drive away.

The city of Inverness is an easy daily commute; around 17 miles away. It is the main commercial centre of
the Highlands and provides a range of retail parks and supermarkets as well as many entertainments, cultural
and medical facilities expected a city.

Inverness Airport is only 15-minute drive from Regoul and has regular flights to London, Manchester,
Birmingham, Bristol, Belfast and other UK destinations including the islands, There are also international
flights to Amsterdam, Zurich and Geneva. The Aberdeen to Inverness railway line stops at Nairn and there
are regular services (including sleepers) from Inverness to the South.
