Damp proofing was installed, the rooms were plastered, rewiring was carried out, a new water mains connection was installed, the bathroom floor was reinforced with joists, oak floor was laid downstairs and a high quality bathroom and kitchen were fitted, including new bi folding doors to the garden. The house was decorated in neutral tones, and decking and lawn was added to the garden.
We have loved our time here, it’s a pretty road with lovely neighbours, who come together once a year to hold a quaint street party. St John’s has a great village vibe, with a number of cute cafes, welcoming pubs, a cocktail bar and some convenient shops at the end of Newcomen road, including a Sainsbury’s Local and an M&S Food. You can walk to town in less than 10 minutes, the train station in 15 minutes and the historic Pantiles in 20 minutes. There are several nearby parks and the beautiful Dunorlan Park is only a 20-25 minute walk away.
