Walthamstow Village is a microcosm of building styles over the last 900 years, ranging from the 12th century church, through the Georgian workhouse, the Victorian pubs, and on to more modern constructions. This flat on West Avenue falls into the latter category, and is conveniently located, both for commuting into town via Walthamstow Central station, and the many attractions of both Walthamstow Village and Hoe Street. We have to admit, we are big fans of the espresso martinis served up by Chris and the team at Eat 17 (the food is pretty darn good too), whilst for a bottle of wine for an evening in you won't go far wrong if you pick the brains of Ben at In Vito Veritas. If you like your evenings a bit brighter, head over to the Ravenswood Estate and try to persuade Marcus at God's Own Junkyard that you are safe custodians for one of his creations…

Take in the Jazz at the Nag’s Head on Sunday afternoon, enjoy the excellent food and beer at the Queens Arms, and sample the legendary chicken and bacon jam burger at Eat17.
To walk off all the food you’ve eaten, wander to the 15th century Ancient House, check out St Mary’s Church and its ivy clad church yard, have a pint in the garden at the Castle Pub, then admire the art in the windows of the old iron mongers.
