We finished converting "Boatyard Cottage" in 2012. We owned the old workshop for many years and decided to convert it into our beautiful cottage. We wanted to create a light modern property with modern facilities, but keep some of the older features such as the working fireplace that was used to repair the old boats. We also sourced old local stone slabs for the courtyard. The walls, ceilings and floors are super insulated keeping it lovely and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The cottage is a very short stroll from the beach, library local restaurants and shops, its the perfect location. We are sadly selling due to future projects and wish the new owners happy days ahead in our little gem by the sea.
