"Our flat has been a really wonderful home for the past few years. The high ceilings and large windows means it always feels light, airy & spacious. It’s bigger than lots of two-bed flats, and has lots of quirky storage so never feels crowded when people are over. The stunning Wanstead Park is to the back, with its ornamental lakes, country house and coffee hut. And to the front, we have the wide open spaces of Wanstead Flats - it is the countryside, but connected. We are a 15 minute walk across the Wanstead Flats to Manor Park or up-and-coming Forest Gate, where there's a quick train to Liverpool Street (soon to be Crossrail). We can walk into Wanstead for its amazing food & drink scene - we recommend the Italian Bombetta, The Manor House, and coffee from newcomer Bare Brew. It’s also an easy walk to the creative scenes, pubs & 24-hour night tube of Leytonstone and we have a bus stop right outside, with a route direct to Walthamstow. We'll miss lots of things about our flat, particularly our walk-in rainforest shower. And it’s been lovely to spend time in our dine-in kitchen, overlooking the garden with a couple of drinks. Our one regret is not doing the loft conversion, this would’ve added a second bedroom and lots more space. It’s such a relaxing start to the day, pulling open the curtain and seeing the birds - including parakeets! - soar above the apple trees. We hope the new owner will enjoy 22 Aldersbrook Road as much as we have"
