Accommodation

This spacious detached Edwardian residence offers a sizeable family home with charming character features and far-reaching views over Chesil Beach, Portland Harbour and towards Weymouth. The period features have been beautifully preserved and include original tiled flooring to the hallway, exposed wooden floorboards to the original section of the house, stain glass windows, decorative working fireplaces, bay windows to the front elevation with sash windows to the original part of the house, high ceilings with picture rails and original doors with branded furnishings.

Entrance to this charming home is via the original front door opening into a welcoming hallway. On the ground floor there are two reception rooms, one being the main sitting room which enjoys the front aspect with spectacular views over Chesil Beach, Portland Harbour and towards Weymouth. The kitchen/diner is a good size with double doors opening to a glazed porch offering useful side access from the parking area. The kitchen/diner feels very much the 'heart of the home' with bespoke wooden units offering storage, a built-in oven, grill and gas hob. From here there is access into the extension with a large storage cupboard and separate utility room with sink and plumbing for utilities. The downstairs bathroom has a shower cubicle, WC, bidet and wash hand basin. There is also access to the rear garden
from the lobby. Returning to the hallway, stairs with under-stairs storage rise to the first floor, with a further storage cupboard on the landing and access to the remainder of the accommodation. The master bedroom is a delightful room, an impressive size with bay window from which to enjoy the truly spectacular views. The other three bedrooms are also generous double rooms. The bathroom on this level offers, bath with a power shower overhead, sink with vanity storage and WC.

To the front of the property there are a few steps up to the front door and a small walled front garden. There is tandem parking for three cars in the form of a wide driveway to the side of the house and gated access to the terraced rear garden. Steps lead up to three level lawned areas and a Portland stone wall forming the boundary. The views from here are wonderful, reaching far over Chesil beach and out to sea. There is also a fascinating World War II air raid bunker to explore.
