Bow is an area of London originally named after a three arched bridge over the River Lee built during the reign of Henry the 1st (around 1,100AD). It is located between Stratford and Hackney in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. It can best be described as partly residential and partly urban with concentrations of retail shops on the Bow Road itself.
There are parks in the area including nearby Grove Hall Park, Mile End Park and Victora Park. The area has a number of local shops as well as a large Tesco's supermaket closeby and there is never a shortage of restaurants or bars to go to.
