Intermediate Rents - Eligibility Criteria:

Accord is keen to provide a range of accommodation that meets the variety of needs that exist within the Midlands. We are pleased to be able to offer homes on an Intermediate rent basis.

The objective of Intermediate Rented accommodation is to provide homes for local workers who are on limited incomes, who aspire to become home owners in the future and may be having difficulty raising mortgage finance in the current climate.

In order to ensure fairness in allocation, applications will be assessed against the criteria outlined below. All applications will be logged and kept in date order. When a suitable property becomes available, applicants who fulfil at least one of the criterion in each section will be offered a property (subject to satisfactory references and financial assessment and interview).

1. Personal Circumstances
a) Applicants who are currently living with family.
b) Applicants who need to move following a relationship breakdown.
c) Applicants who currently live in rented accommodation (subject to satisfactory references from former Landlord).

2. Employment
a. Work within the Local Authority where the scheme they want to live is situated.
b. Work within an adjoining Local Authority area close to where the scheme they want to live is situated.
c. Due to commence work in Local Authority area where the scheme they want to live is situated.

3. Residency
a) Live within the Local Authority where the particular scheme they want to live is situated.
b) Live within a bordering Local Authority area.
c) Need to move to the Local Authority or adjoining Local Authority to be nearer to work.

4. *Financial Circumstances
a) An income which covers all household expenditure and leaves a disposable sum of approximately 200 per month.
b) An annual household income of up to approximately 30,000 for single applicants and 60,000 for joint applications.
c) No housing benefit
