Blackheath is a district, which begins mid-way up Greenwich Park and encapsulates the area known as the ‘Heath' (a large open green area), the village of Blackheath and other surrounding areas. Due East of Blackheath village are a number of roads which form the Southern most edge of Blackheath among them Kidbrooke Grove. Kidbrooke Grove is known as one of the best roads in Blackheath. Named in line with nearby Kidbrooke District, the actual name is derived from a watercourse named Kyd Brook, which runs from Orpington Kent, to the town of Lewisham.
