Harbourside Cottage is well-placed to give easy level access to the beaches, pubs, shops and public transport. For those who love walking and biking, the South West Coast path leads to Gwithian to the South and Porthtowan and Saint Agnes to the North. The mining trails lead directly from Portreath to Devoran and a gentle cycle will take you there for lunch.
Just up through Illogan woods is the lovely Gwel an Mor resort offering visitors indoor swimming and gym facilities as well as tennis for a small fee. They have a collection of animals on view including Raindeer, donkeys and chickens. Birds of prey are often on show on selected days.
Tehidy woods and the Golf Course also has places to eat and a lovely lake with swans, ducks, squirrels and lots more besides.
Commuting distance to Saint Ives, Truro or Falmouth is approximately half an hour and much less to Camborne, Pool and Redruth.
The children will enjoy a visit to The Cornish Gold Mine, Mount Hawke Skate Park, Mountain Bike and BMX tracks nearby. In the village there is a children's park and gardens.
The local towns of Redruth and Camborne are a great place to shop and hunt a bargain with main supermarkets available at pool.
Residents of Harbour side Cottage will find it hard not to relax and unwind in this lovely spot.
