The M5 is accessible at Junctions 23 & 24, and provides easy access to Bristol, London, the Midlands and the South Coast. Bridgwater train station offers regular intercity high speed trains direct to London Paddington.
The county town of Taunton, approximately 13 miles away, provides more extensive shopping facilities, and Taunton is also home to the famous Somerset County Cricket Club.
