King Edward Mine, a former location of Camborne School of Mines, was acquired by Cornwall Council in 2009 and is leased to a local charity to run as a mining heritage attraction.

Camborne benefits from good transport links by the A30 aerial trunk road, which has points of access to both the east and west of the town. It also provides railway connections to the main Penzance to Paddington line.
