The nearby regency town of Sidmouth, just under 5 miles away, provides for most every day requirements, including schools, shops, banks, post office, cottage hospital, library, theatre, cinema and two supermarkets including a Waitrose. The market town of Honiton lies inland approximately 9 miles north and has a main line rail link to London (Waterloo).
The University and Cathedral City of Exeter is approximately 15 miles to the west and has an excellent range of shopping facilities, main line rail link to London (Paddington), access to the M5 and Exeter International Airport.
