Situation
Sibford Ferris, and the adjoining village of Sibford Gower, are located to the west of Banbury towards the Cotswolds, just off the B4035. The Sibfords are situated on the west side of Banbury on either side of a brook. The Ferrirs family held land on one side in the 11th and 12th Centuries and Thomas Guher on the other side. Both are rustic cottagey places with gardens and a duck pond. There is a large Quaker school at Sibford Ferris and a meeting house at Sibford Gower. From the market town of Banbury there is Junction 11 of the M40 motorway together with a mainline railway station to London, Birmingham and beyond.
