DREWSTEIGNTON is an extremely picturesque and sought after village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, within walking distance of local beauty spot Fingle Bridge where long riverside walks can be enjoyed along the scenic river Teign.  The village is centred around a pretty square which has a mix of period thatched cottages and slate roofed houses, an ancient church, general grocers store/post office, and a well-regarded thatched public house, the Drewe Arms.   The spectacular Castle Drogo (National Trust) is located on the extreme outskirts of the village set above the Teign Gorge and was the last castle to be built in England.  The city of Exeter is located about 13 miles to the east via the A30, and the town of Crediton about 10 miles to the north east.  Drewsteignton also has a public car park, and an excellent community play area/open space ideal for children and families.

Whilst viewing Cobb Cottage, we highly recommend a visit to Fingle Bridge – it is truly a magnificent setting and only a short drive from Drewsteignton - followed by well-earned pint in the Drewe Arms!

DIRECTIONS  If entering Drewsteignton from North (Crediton/Exeter side) proceed up the hill into the village and Cobb Cottage will be seen on the left before arriving in the square.  There is a large public car park clearly signed, and additional parking can usually be found in the square which is a few yards further up the hill if preferred.
