Bournemouth in Dorset is one of those colourful and busy (yet still somehow peaceful) English seaside towns where locals tend to feel they are "permanently on holiday", however hard they work!
Getting there is easy by car, road, rail and sea. And the property on offer is amongst the best in the South West.
Property in Bournemouth can be stunning, but that doesn't mean that only the wealthy can consider moving there. As well as boasting stylish mansions and townhouses, and large detached family properties, the town also always has excellent property options even for people on the tightest of budgets.
Wake up in your new home in Bournemouth - be that a lovely house, bungalow, flat or maisonette - and you'll be spoilt for choice for things to see and do. You can shop till you drop there, and then relax in a charming coffee shop for an hour before dinner at any of the town's many restaurants.
Every year, families across the UK opt to relocate to Bournemouth, simply because it offers everything you'd expect from a prosperous and thriving modern town, while also being within easy reach of the countryside. Family visits to the nearby New Forest National Park are an absolute must.
With Bournemouth being a large coastal resort town, one might assume that the town's economy revolved solely around its tourism and service industry (its numerous attractions, hotels, pubs, bars and clubs...). But the town attracts IT, digital marketing and printing companies, and manufacturers, too.
Although it could not be described as a London commuters' "haven", it is nonetheless well-served by the rail network (there are two stations in the town with London links). It is about a 3-hour drive from the capital, and Bournemouth Airport is only a short hop from the town centre!
