Bustling Bromley has blossomed

Situated in Kent, the attractive county known as The Garden of England, Bromley is a former market town which has blossomed into a large suburban town in South East London.

Property in Bromley is varied, but mainly consists of traditional detached and semi-detached family homes, many built in the 1960s with spacious living accommodation and good-sized, south-facing gardens. Three-bedroom terraced properties are popular, as are flats and conversions in older properties.

House prices in Bromley reflect the town's proximity to London, which is just 9 miles away, and they do tend to be just higher than the national average. The town is regarded as being situated in one of the richest London boroughs and, as such, has many affluent areas where prices are considerably 'up-market'.

Getting to the heart of Bromley

At the heart of Bromley lies the historic old market district, which is at the crossing of Church Road and High Street. Shopping is excellent, and a safe, High Street mainly catering for pedestrians, houses all the major retail stores as well as unique independent outlets.

The Glades Shopping Centre is extremely popular with shoppers who want to stay warm and dry while getting everything they need under one roof.

Plenty of leisure activities and culture are to be found in the town, with two theatres, The Churchill and the Bromley Little Theatre, being conveniently close to Bromley North Railway Station.

Ideal for commuters

Bromley South and Bromley North railway stations offer excellent commuting links to London and cross-country. The town is not served by the London Underground, but has an excellent bus service to and from the surrounding urban areas. All London airports are less than an hour's drive away.

Bromley benefits by being an excellent distance from London, but at the same time having its own character and being located in such a lovely part of England. It has much to offer, which explains its continuing popularity with buyers seeking the advantages of central London without having to live there.
