Learn more about life in Harlow

Harlow has six secondary schools, most of which have achieved specialist status, and one college which achieves excellent results.

Culturally, it is well ahead of most inner city towns, being home to a massive collection of public sculptures, ranging from Auguste Rodin to Henry Moore. It became known as the World's First Sculpture Town and this is justifiably a major tourist attraction.

Many artefacts are owned by the Harlow Art Club, formed by leading architect Frederic Gibberd, who dreamed of making sculptures more accessible to the general public and, as a result, many interesting works are situated in shopping centres, parks and housing estates around the town.

Easy to get around in Harlow

Harlow has two railway stations, a good road network leading to major motorway spurs, plus an excellent bus service. Moreover, it is located near Stansted Airport and not far from other London airports, making it an ideal base whether you're travelling near or far.
So if you're looking for a reasonably priced property within easy commuting distance of the capital city, with its own distinct and interesting identity, Harlow could be the place that ticks all the boxes for you.
