This is the best way to collect reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reviews submitted through this form will link directly to your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/c\/rental-operators\/reviews\/reporting-on-your-reviews\/#accessing-my-data-via-the-reviews-portal\">Review Portal<\/a> \u2013 your central control system for viewing, managing and responding to your reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How often should I collect reviews?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/c\/rental-operators\/reviews\/reporting-on-your-reviews\/#review-targets-and-best-practice\">on-going review collection<\/a> approach, and feedback from other Rental Operators shows that this \u2018always-on\u2019 approach is often the easiest to manage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We suggest having a reviews target per month or per quarter with your on-site teams, so that there is a consistent flow of reviews coming in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having a continuous flow of new reviews also provides better transparency for those visiting your listings and reading reviews as part of their comparison and decision-making, as they can see that the feedback is always up to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the best techniques to drive reviews?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Posters and leaflets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Display these in your communal area around the community \u2013 for example, in a concierge, reception, lifts or communal areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Emails and newsletters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consider who is best to send these emails out. If you have a central point of contact who residents know, a personalised invite to residents can encourage them to share reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Team members speaking to residents on-site<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask residents directly at various touchpoints \u2013 at reception or within communal areas, when a maintenance request has been completed, or even at move-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Team members can all have a QR code on their phones that scans through to the \u2018Write a review\u2019 page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Postcards, Business Cards and Welcome Packs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These can easily be placed in the concierge, reception or communal areas or handed out by onsite teams \u2013 creating a more personalised reminder to leave a review at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Digital screens<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any screens or TVs around your development, a great way to remind residents to leave a review is to have a digital screen or poster with a QR code that links straight to your review form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How will Rightmove support me with review collection?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of your membership, all partners can access our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/c\/rental-operators\/reviews\/reviews-help-and-support\/\">online guides and best practice guidance<\/a>. Please contact your account manager for more details or get in touch by filling in the form at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-happens-when-a-resident-submits-a-review\">What happens when a resident submits a review<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every review submitted to Rightmove goes through a verification and moderation process before it&#8217;s published, helping to ensure reviews are genuine, relevant and meet our review guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A resident fills out all questions on the review form alongside their information (full name, address, flat number).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only their chosen display name will show on site in line with GDPR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The resident\u2019s information is automatically sent to a third party verification company that checks the reviewer\u2019s details against public records such as the electoral register. This comes back as a verification \u201cpass\u201d or a verification \u201cfail\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a review fails the automated verification process, they will be contacted by our team, and asked to either provide proof of address, or use our geolocation tool for a one-time location share.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The review then goes through a manual quality control check, or \u2018Review moderation\u2019 by our team to ensure the review doesn\u2019t violate any of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/c\/rental-operators\/reviews\/guidelines-for-leaving-reviews\/\">guidelines<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a review fails our guidelines, we\u2019ll contact the resident to give them the opportunity to edit and resubmit their review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The review is published on Rightmove.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review moderation can take up to 7 days during our busiest periods of review submission, but a review is usually moderated and published within a few days. Please note, our team doesn&#8217;t moderate reviews over the weekend or on Bank Holidays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-does-verification-work\">How does verification work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reviews play an important role in helping renters make confident decisions, so it\u2019s essential they\u2019re trusted and credible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is verification?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verification helps ensure feedback comes from genuine residents and reflects real experiences, giving renters greater confidence in what they\u2019re reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside manual moderation checks by our team, this approach creates a balanced and reliable view of each development, supporting transparency for renters, while helping you showcase authentic resident experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How are reviews verified?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reviewers provide details (such as their full name and address\/flat number) which are checked against trusted data sources to confirm they are linked to the development. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the details match public records, the review is automatically verified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If this can\u2019t be verified automatically, for example, if a resident has recently moved in or their address isn\u2019t yet registered, residents are contacted and asked to verify their details manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can be done in one of two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Proof of address:<\/strong> such as a utility bill, driving license or official document<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Geo-location verification: <\/strong>a one-time location check to confirm they are at the development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To protect privacy, any information shared during this process is only used for verification and is not stored. &nbsp;We can only ever accept review verification from residents via the link in their email, and we cannot accept any verification on behalf of a resident \u2013 verification must come from the resident using the link in their email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An unverified resident will receive a number of emails reminding them to verify their review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Are all reviews checked?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes \u2013 every review is moderated against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/c\/rental-operators\/reviews\/guidelines-for-leaving-reviews\/\">guidelines<\/a> to ensure it is genuine, relevant and appropriate before being published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Are only verified reviews shown?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No \u2013 both verified and unverified reviews may be shown to provide a balanced view, with clear labelling to help renters interpret them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Helping your residents to verify their reviews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We never expect a 100% verification rate, but we hope that making it easier for your residents to manually verify reviews keeps verification rates high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Remind residents to check their emails<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask your residents to look for an email from HomeViews \u2013 remind them to check their junk or spam folder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. How to verify their review<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using the geolocation tool is the quickest way to verify a review, but if a resident would rather upload a copy of their proof of address, they have the option to via the link in the email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Educate your residents on the impact of a verified review<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verified reviews not only count more towards your development\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/c\/rental-operators\/reviews\/displaying-reviews\/#how-is-the-star-rating-of-my-review-calculated\">Star Rating<\/a> than unverified reviews; they help your residents\u2019 voices to be heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When prospective residents are reading reviews, they have the trust and transparency that the reviews they are reading
