Description

The Crown Inn is a public house located on St John Street in the Somerset town of Bridgwater, which has a population of around 41,000. The pub is situated close to the town's train station and is a short walk from the town centre. To the rear of the property is Eastover Park which has a number of playing fields and is regularly used by local teams. This historic market town is famed for its annual Guy Fawkes carnival, an illuminated display that attracts around 150,000 people from around the county. Bridgwater has a bustling town centre with many major retailers. It is also the administrative centre of the Sedgemoor District.

The town's economy is boosted by the proximity of Hinkley Point Power Station. It is one of Europe's largest construction sites and employs approximately 25,000 workers. It is expected to provide power to 6,000,000 homes for the next 60 years.

The town is surrounded by a variety of natural landscapes: it is situated at the edge of the Somerset Levels and has the Mendip Hills to the east and the Quantock Hills (AONB) to the west. The River Parrett flows through the town and its mouth enters the Bristol Channel 10 miles north. Bridgwater is well positioned for regular commuters; it is bypassed by the M5 motorway, allowing for fast road communications between Exeter, Taunton and Bristol. The A39 also passes through the town, linking it to Minehead to the west and Glastonbury to the east.

The Crown occupies a two-storey end of terrace property of brick construction under a pitched tile roof. It has a single storey rear extension and a loft conversion. The property is briefly described as follows:
