Located in the market town of Newton Stewart on the banks of the River Cree in Dumfries and Galloway. It is at the centre of the Galloway Forest and Galloway Hills and is a popular base for exploring the South West of Scotland. The surrounding area is extremely popular with outdoor enthusiasts and hill walkers. It is close to the 7 Stanes world famous mountain biking trial. There are many golf courses (32 in total) with the local course at Newton Stewart. Fishing and shooting is also available locally. Newton Stewart is easily accessible from the A75 linking Stranraer (20 miles) and Dumfries(50 miles). Ayr is 1.5 hours drive along the A714 or via the more scenic coastal A77.
