The property is situated in the town of Lochgelly in Fife, Scotland. Lochgelly was once a small agricultural market centre and prospered as a mining town between the granting of mineral rights to the Lochgelly Iron and Coal Company in the 1830s and the closure of local pits in the 1960s. The main entrance leads into a hallway with access to the office, staff room and staff WC. A password protected door leads to the nursery playrooms. The open plan space is arranged into three rooms with open doorways and toddler gates. A cot room and small kitchen area can be accessed from the baby room. There are children’s WCs off the preschool area and a nappy change area between the pre-school and toddler areas. The toddler room has a story and sleep room adjacent. The kitchen is also located off the toddler room. Each playroom has patio doors opening out to the rear garden.
